Our Covid-19 Response:
Rest assure that as an essential service Markham earring Centre will continue to be available for all our patients needs. As this is no time for your hearing aids to stop working we have remained open to handle repairs and provide needed supplies like batteries, domes and filters.To combat the spread of Covid-19 these repairs and hearing aid supplies will continue to be provided by drop-off or mail when feasible.
As of June 8, 2020 Markham Hearing Centre is seeing patients on a limited basis BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.  
All patients entering the clinic will:

• Be pre-screened when booking their appointment for Covid-19 symptoms, exposure or travel.
• Upon arriving at the clinic on the day of their appointment patients will be re-screened.
• All patients will be required to wear a face mask/covering while in the office.
• All patients will be required to wash/disinfect their hands upon entering the clinic.
• Patients are to call 647-778-3080 upon arriving to check in for their appointment. Our waiting room is closed and our doors are locked so patients must call to be allowed in.

In addition, Markham Hearing Centre has introduced the following to further reduce the spread of Covid-19:

• All staff preform self-screening for Covid-19 symptoms and exposure each day.
• All staff wear a face mask/covering whenever exposed to patients or other staff members. Face shields are also available for those staff when fitting patients with hearing aids.
• Staff will wash/disinfect their hands between each patient visit as well as before touching any hearing aid product.
• Staff will wipe down all exposed/common areas between patient visits.
• Staff will remain in their own offices or designated areas as much as possible while in the clinic.
• Staff and patients will walk in only specified hallways to limit any congestion in the hallways.

All these policies are based on recommendation by the government in an effort to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and ensure the safety of our staff and patients.  These policies will be changed and updated as needed.
