Tinnitus (TIN-ih-tus) is noise or ringing in the ears. It is a common problem; tinnitus affects about 1 in 5 people. Tinnitus isn’t a condition itself — it’s a symptom of an underlying condition, such as age-related hearing loss, ear injury, jaw joint misalignment, acoustic neuroma or a circulatory system disorder.  For over 80% of individuals who have tinnitus due to age related hearing loss, by providing amplification (hearing aids), we can improve the level of tinnitus that the individual hears.
